Meet Brian D’Oliveira

Brian D’Oliveira is a multi award-winning composer and audio creative director based in Montreal. He is also the founder of La Hacienda Creative and its Advanced Audio Tools Development division, MNTRA. With a solid background in the interactive and gaming industries, D’Oliveira has focused his energy on creating the next generation of virtual musical instruments. It’s his belief that this will allow for more intuitive expression and creation, even beyond the current status quo. His goal is to develop a visual interfacing framework using animation as the missing link between virtual instruments and conventional “knobs and sliders.”
